The family of Maude Hale Wheet, 96, will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2006 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. Private funeral services will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Wheet, a resident of 205 Creekbend Road in Columbia, passed away on Tuesday after an illness. She was the daughter of the late Rev. William H. and Margaret Davis Hale and was the widow of Luther Wheet who preceded her in death in 1986.
She was a member of the Columbia First Church of the Nazarene
Survivors include:Four daughers: Katherine Ramsey of Cumberland Gap, TN; Juanita Gillespie of Orlando, FL; Rachel Curry of Indianapolis, IN; and Emilie Wheet of Columbia
Three sons: Charles Wheet of Ewing, VA: Randel Wheet of Ewing, VA; and Glen Wheet of Somerset
