Clarence Hillard, Dr. Gwynn Shamlin and Willard Lafayette, all of Baton Rouge; two sons-in-law, James Cannon, Picayune,, and Dr. Derek Metoyer, Baton Rouge; two aunts, Celesta Marshall, Jefferson, and Mary Ruth Whitlow, Opelousas; two uncles, Joseph Whitlow, Opelousas, and George Aldridge, Chicago.
Preceded in death by a brother, Frank Aldridge Jr., Pontiac, Mich.; and a sister, Naomi Thornton, Fort Worth,Texas.
He was affiliated with many educational and social organizations, including Louisiana Retired Teacher's Association, J.K. Haynes Foundation, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., Prince Hall Masons, Foxes Social Club, American Legion Post No. 514 and United Board of Pensions.
In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Mark United Methodist Church Building Fund. Williams Funeral Home, Opelousas, in charge of arrangements.
