Bedford Gazette - Daniel Brode died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Martha Weaver, near Saxton, on Saturday, May 6 in the 79th year of his age.
Mr. Brode is survived by three sons and four daughters: James, Arnold and Lewis, and Mrs. Lowery, of near Coalmont; Mrs Margaret Truax of Brisbane, Mrs. Alice Graffious of Defiance, and Mrs. Weaver. He was known throughout part(s) of Bedford and Huntingdon Counties. He was possessed of integrity and had a host of friends.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon by Rev. F. W. McGuire and interment was made in Fockler Cemetery.
