Mrs. Deardorff, 67, Dies At Her Home Near Mooreland

MOORELAND - Mollie Deardorff, age 67, widow of Edgar Deardorff, died unexpectedly Sunday in her home near Mooreland. She had been in failing health for the last five years.
She was a lifelong resident of Mooreland and a member of the Buck Creek Church of the Brethren.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Joseph Oxley of Mooreland; a son, Lewis Deardorff of Flora; seven grandchildren; and Leonard Brown of Losantville who had made this home with the Deardorff's for a number of years.
Other survivors are three sisters: Mrs. Bertha Smalley, Mrs. Olive Amburgy and Mrs. Claude Conway of rural New Castle; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Buck Creek Church with the Reverend O. D. Werking officiating. Burial will be in the Brick Church Cemetery near Hagerstown.
The body will be taken from the Main and Sons Funeral Home to the residence where friends may call after 7:00 p.m. tonight.
