Martha also had at least 5 older half siblings, all Harding's, born to Daniel's first marriage to Martha Bruce (d 1896):

-Eliza Jane "Jennie" (1866-1986), m Baker;
-Wm Thomas (1867-1945), m Adeline "Addie" Ashbaugh 1887

On 2 Jan 1920, 16 yr old Martha married Clyde Phillips, and together they raised 4 children. Their first child, Clyde Jr., was b&d 17 Jan 1922. The 4 that lived to adulthood:

Martha and Clyde divorced sometime around 1941, and on 28 Oct, 1943, she married John Allenbrand in Kansas City, Kansas; they were happily married 40 yrs.

Martha had beautiful red hair (tho it was more strawberry blonde as a child). She loved to knit and to whistle tunes and her favorite music was gospel -or anything sung by Tennessee Ernie Ford (whom she was told was a 2nd cousin on her mom's side).

Although she lived in Kansas City, Wyandotte, KS, her entire adult life, Martha spent her last months in an assisted care facility in Overland Park, KS, where she died of complications from cancer.
