Amos Jacob Shafer, 84, husband of Mrs. Leva Catherine Flook Shafer, near Middletown, died Tuesday morning at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was a son of the late George C. and Julia Young Shafer and was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Middletown and the Men's Bible class.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Clarence Shafer, Frederick, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Rohrer, Rohrersville.
Friends may call at the the Gladhill Funeral Home in Middletown after 7 p.m. Wednesday and until noon Friday. Services will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, Middletown, Friday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Emmanuel Hoover officiating. Interment will be in the Lutheran Cemetery, Middletown.
