Actress. A noted stage artist, she had a significant international career during the early 20th. century. Born Valli Kunst to a British theatrical family, she was raised mainly in England and was educated in both Paris and London. Valli made her 1895 professional bow at Terry's Theater, London, in "Gentle Ivy" and the next year was seen in Berlin in "Morocco Bound". Returning to London she was in a number of productions including her turn as a dancing doll in a well received pantomime version of "Cinderella" presented at Drury Lane. Her initial American appearances came as Sophie in a 1905 traveling production of Andre Messager's "Veronique" and in 1909 she was Alice Crowder for the long Broadway run of "The Dollar Princess". Valli made her silver screen debut in 1915's "The High Road" and was seen in three more silent films, the last being 1916's "Her Debt of Honor". Married in 1917 to producer Louis Dreyfus she gave her final recorded performances in a 1919 New York presentation of "Miss Millions". Valli lived her final years in Hampstead, London.
