Landscape and Genre Artist. Born at Walpole, N. H.; educated at Boston, Mass; Dusseldorf Academy, Germany; Paris. Received N. A. from the Nat'l acad. of Design in New York in 1882. Some of his pictures hang in Yale College, the Layton Art Gallery in Milwaukee, and private galleries in London, Paris and Munich.
He married Clara Ward of N. Y. City, in 1871, the daughter of Oliver Delancey Ward, a distinguished merchant of N. Y. City.
