Christopher was the son of John and Sarah (Willoughby) Prince. He was brother to Amelia Prince Rosse and Harriet Prince Tobin. On February 18, 1811 Christopher married Anna Duffield in Brooklyn, Kings, New York. He was father to Margaretta Amelia Prince Duffield, John Duffield Prince, Sr., Anna DeBevoise Prince Dow, Susan Lawrence Prince Rockwell Strickland, Benjamin Prince and Dr. Christopher Prince. He was a sea captain and generally commanded ships owned or managed by N.L. & G. Griswold, 72 South Street, NY, NY. His cousin also Capt. Christopher Prince wrote of his death in his journal. Christopher was originally buried at the Dutch Reformed Church Cemetery in Flatbush and was relocated to Green-wood in 1849.
