Diane Stevens Gilmore, 42, of Newport, OH, passed away surrounded by her family and friends after a long battle with cancer, at her parents' home in Newport. She was born, September 28, 1964, in Huntington, WV, a daughter of Pearly and Carline Maynard Stevens of Newport, OH. She was a 1982 Frontier High School graduate. She had been an Administrative Assistant with REM Community Options in St. Marys, and was employed by the Fireside Restaurant and Lounge. She had been employed previously by Merrill Lynch in Florida and Ohio, the Schwendeman Agency, and Magnum Magnetics both in Marietta. Her hobbies included water sports, softball, gardening, and she enjoyed life under the sun. In addition to her parents, she is survived by two sons, Jordan Parmiter and Joey Gilmore, III both at home, two sisters, Denise Blouir and Debra Pryor and her husband, Michael, all of Newport, OH, four brothers, Michael P. Stevens and his wife, Clair, of Queen Creek, AZ, Loyd F. Stevens of Nitro, WV, Darryl W. Stevens and his wife, Debra, of St. Marys, WV, and Doyle D. Stevens and his wife, Lisa, of Coolville, OH, several nieces, nephews, and four great nieces. She was preceded in death by a sister, Annette Elliott, paternal grandparents, Levi and Edna Stevens, and maternal grandmother, Renee Perry. Services will be held Thursday, August 2, 2007, at 1 P. M. at the Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, WV with Pastors David Beaver and David Martin officiating. Interment will be in the Newport Cemetery, Newport, OH. Friends may call from 7 to 9 P. M. Tuesday, and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P. M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
