Daniel O. Felts, age 78, of Jonesboro passed away on Monday, August 6, 2012 at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born August 27, 1933 at Zion, AR to Isom and Della Fudge Felts. Daniel was a math instructor at ASU. He attended Nettleton Baptist Church and served as a radio dispatcher in the U.S. Army where he witnessed the last series of atomic bomb tests in Nevada. Daniel loved yard and garden work, and storytelling.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Boyce Felts and a sister, Wanda Bailey.

Survivors include his loving wife, Joyce (Pugh) Felts; a son, Daniel O. Felts, Jr of Little Rock; a daughter, Carla Coley of Little Rock; five grandchildren, Samantha Coley, Maci Yarborough, Sarah Coley, Naya Yarborough and Opal Yarborough; a brother, Tom Felts of CA; and three sisters, Mary McKinnon of Russellville, Dortha Qualls of Evening Shade and Yuvonna Holm of Sulfer Rock; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 5-7 pm Wednesday at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue in Jonesboro.

Funeral services will be 10 am Thursday at the funeral home with Stan Ballard officiating. Burial will follow at Nettleton Cemetery.

Lasting memorials can be made to either, the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association or to the Nettleton Baptist Church Choir Fund.
