Mr. Webster Ray Reid, 90, of Jayess, Mississippi passed away February 24, 2015 at his residence. He was born August 23, 1924, to James Hardin Reid and Beatrice Hall Reid. Mr. Reid worked as a crane operator in the oil field and he also served in the United States Army during WWII. He was a Corporal in the 734th Antiaircraft Artillery Gun Battalion in Southern Philippines and Luzon. He received ATO medal, APTO Medal, Philippine Liberation Ribbon with 1 bronze star; good conduct medal and WWII Victory Medal.

He was a Master Mason and a member of Powell’s Grove United Pentecostal Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife Laura Mae Davis, his second wife Daisy Bonnell Thames; son, Jimmy Ray Reid; son-in-law, Clint Ikner; granddaughter, Regina Reid Lott; grandson, Devenny Ikner; and brothers, Lester Reid and Dennis Reid.

He is survived by his sons Danny Joe Reid and Steve D. Reid; daughters Barbara Ratcliff, Lynda Carpenter, Linda Ann Ikner; brother, Joe D. Reid & wife Mildred of Lebanon, MO; sister, Frances Reid Dunaway of Jayess, MS; 17 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
