Mrs. Frank Snell
Barbara Ann Hoffer was born in Concord, Jefferson county, Wisconsin on November 10, 1866. At the age of 7 she moved with her parents to Belvedere, Buffalo county, Wisconsin where they made their home for six years.

In 1897 [s/b 1877] she was married to Joseph Jerome. To this union five children were born. Her husband preceded her in death eighteen years ago and one son Edgar two years ago.

On July 8, 1894 she was united in marriage at Onalaska to Frank Snell. To this union one child was born.

Mrs. Snell has been ailing for over 20 years with bronchial trouble and dropsy although she was confined to her bed for only ten days preceding her death. She died July 13 at the age of 60 years, nine months and three days.

She leaves to mourn her loss: Frank Snell of Sparta and six children; Mrs. Frank Cole [Harriet Gertrude Jerome], Friesland; Oliver [Jerome], of Dana North Carolina; George [Jerome]; Mrs. William Knight [Emily Gladys Jerome], Scribner, Nebraska; Irvin [Snell], Sparta, Wisconsin; 18 grandchildren; one brother, Herman, Tomah.

Funeral services were held in the home on Wolcott Street at 2p.m. Rev. A. E. Frederick officiating. Burial in Woodlawn cemetery.
