Carl Schmacht of Rock Island Taken by death
Carl Schmacht, 76, of 1028 Seventh Street, Rock Island, died at 10:25pm yesterday in St. Anthony's hospital, where he had been a patient since Saturday. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Wednesday in the Wheelan Funeral home. The Rev. Fred J. Rolf, retired pastor of the Rock Island church of Peace, will officiate. Burial will be in Chippiannock cemetery. Friends may call after noon tomorrow.
