Mary Brkljacich, 87, a long-time resident of Midvale, passed away peacefully June 22, 2002, at St. Joseph Villa in Salt Lake City in the company of loving family members and friends. Mrs. Brkljacich was an active member of St. Therese Cath-olic Church in Midvale and of the parish's Altar Society until assisted residency in St. Joseph Villa in 1995. Born in Colorado June 19, 1915, reared in Bingham Canyon, she served as a volunteer registrar for state-wide political elections over the past several decades. Her true success was a deep and abiding faith in God and personal sacrifice to enhance the lives of her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of more than 50 years, Joseph, and is survived by two sons, John, OK, George, VA; two daugh-ters, Francine Edmarmax-Steven, Ro-salie Spitz, both of CA; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Steve, Thomas Pazell, Midvale; and two sisters, Catherine Wes-terman, Midvale, Rose Ann Sirstins, Salt Lake City. The family expresses its deep appreciation for the prayers and help of dear friends and relatives and for the tender care and assistance of the staff of St. Joseph Villa. Funeral Mass will be Tues. June 25, 2002, 10 a.m., St. Therese Catholic Church, 624 W. Lennox, Midvale. Friends may call Mon. 6-8 p.m., with a Rosary service 7:30 p.m., at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State, Midvale. Interment, Murray City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to St. Joseph Villa in care of Sr. Thaddeus..
