Brenda Lynn Barker, 54, of Poplar Bluff died Friday, Jan. 2, 2004, at her residence.

Mrs. Barkers was born Jan. 24, 1949, in Poplar Bluff. A member of the American Legion Auxiliary No. 153 and Eagles Auxiliary No. 3730, she had been a cosmetologist for 38 before retiring from It's Your Hair By Jan. She was a 1967 graduate of Poplar Bluff High School.

On Feb. 12, 1966, she married Phillip Barker in Corning, Ark. He survives.

Other survivors include two daughters, Angela Pace of Salina, Kan., and Mendy Billington of Springfield; one granddaughter, three brothers, John Bloodworth of Poplar Bluff, Tom Bloodworth of Cape Girardeau and Billy Bloodworth of Jonesboro, Ark.; and one sister, Margie Hart of Poplar Bluff.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Brain Sharp officiating. Burial will be in the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
