Killed by a hit and run drunk driver.

The community of Moab spent Tuesday, December 25, 1934; Christmas Day, attending the funeral and burial of Neil Taylor.

"Impressive funeral services were held at 11 o clock on Tuesday, Christmas day, over the remains of Neil Taylor, Moab young man who was instantly killed in an automobile crash Saturday evening."

Obit can be found in the December 27, 1934 issue of The Times-Independent.

Obit states, "Neil Taylor was born at Moab, November 26, 1907, the son of Andrew A. Taylor and Adelia Empey Taylor."

What that......? So the guy that killed Neil is from a rich sheep herding family. He admits to killing Neil, pleads guilty, agrees to pay the parents and the judge dismisses the involuntary manslaughter charges. Yeah, I couldn't believe it either. But read all about it in the August 15, 1935 issue of The Times-Independent.

** Brother of Leta Taylor who died of a stroke in 1939.
