Holly Harvey, age 40, of Hillsboro passed away on Friday, August 3, 2012, at 5:03 p.m. at Hillsboro Area Hospital in Hillsboro, IL. A visitation will be held on Monday, August 6, 2012 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Hillsboro, IL, with Pastor Jeff Hemken officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery in Van Burensburg, IL.
Holly was born in Vandalia, IL on January 23, 1972 to Verlin C. & Marilyn (Guymon) Harvey. She was a graduate of Hillsboro High School Class of 1990 and received her L.P.N. from St. John's School of Nursing in Springfield, IL. She had worked as a L.P.N. and E.M.T. at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL; Golden Manor Nursing Home in Nokomis, IL; Montgomery Nursing & Rehab in Taylor Springs, IL and for Hillsboro Area Ambulance Service in Hillsboro, IL. Holly was a member of Luck & Buck Saddle Club in Hillsboro, IL where she had served as President. She loved horses and attending all the local horse shows.
Holly is survived by her mother, Marilyn Harvey of Coffeen, IL; companion, John Mondin; daughter, Katie Mondin and step-daughter, Kelby Mondin all of Hillsboro, IL; two sisters, Barb (husband Scott) Bloemke of Kalaheo, Hawaii and Lynn (husband Dan) Behme of Litchfield, IL; 2 nephews, Caleb Behme of Litchfield, IL and Skye Bloemke of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. She is also survived by Aunts and Cousins. Holly was preceded in death by her father, Verlin Harvey and a nephew Jacob Behme.
