MOORE, Verlie age 91 of West Milton passed away Saturday November 6, 2010. Verlie was born in Brock, KY. May 20, 1919 to Hiram R. Hardigree & Nannie Huff. She was a graduate of Sue Bennett College & the University of Dayton and retired a teacher in the Dayton Public School system, life member of Ohio Retired Teachers, member of Kappa Charter of Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority, member of College Women's Club of Dayton. Preceded in death by her husband John W. Moore in 1977 and a grandchild. Survived by 2 daughters, Judith Kay Cox of Tampa, FL., Joanne Beekhuizen of West Milton; son & daughter-in-law, Maj. John R. Moore (Ret.) & Becky of Tucson, AZ; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren. Funeral service 1:30 P.M. Wednesday at the GEORGE C. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, "Northridge Chapel," 5040 Frederick Pk. at Needmore Rd. The family will receive friends 12:30-1:30 P.M. at the George C. Martin Funeral Home. Interment Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. If desired, memorials may be made to: Humane Society of the U.S., Dept. HHHONL, 2100 L Street NW, Washington, DC 20037.
