Son of Clarence D. Reed and Charlotte A. Miller

He grew up on Greenspring Farm outside of Middletown, Del. and was a 1999 graduate of Middletown High School.

He was an excellent athlete and remained active throughout his life. He played soccer and Little League and later wrestled in high school. An avid outdoorsman, his greatest passions were hunting and fishing. He enjoyed trail riding, motorbikes, and ATVs, and also loved horses, which he began riding at the age of three. He delighted in spending time with his beloved family, especially during their annual vacation in Fenwick Island, Del. He had many close friends as well, with whom he enjoyed playing pool and listening to music. A talented writer, he often composed his own music lyrics. He will be remembered for his keen wit and friendly spirit and for his cheerfulness and bravery in fighting a lifelong disease.

Mr. Reed was a lifelong member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Odessa, Del.
