Miss Leona Ophelia Waugh, 66, of 224 7th Avenue NW, Decatur, passed away in Hartselle Hospital Sunday afternoon at 3:15. Miss Waugh has been ill and a hospital patient for two months.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock at Memorial Drive Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Charles Adams and the Rev. E.M. Barnes Jr with burial in Decatur City Cemetery, Brown directing.
Miss Waugh was a native of Somerville and was employed at Cooper Wells Hosiery Mill until that plant was closed down two years ago.
Deceased is survived by three sisters, Mrs. N.E. Winton, Decatur; Mrs. G.W. Puckett, Hartselle, Mrs. Cecil Sheeham, Forth Worth, Texas; three brothers, A.G. Waugh, Lamese, Tex; Herman Waugh, Fort Worth, Texas; Robert McCaulie, Jacksonville, Fla; and a number of nieces and nephews.
