Charles Augustus Lundgren, 72, a native of Sweden and longtime resident in this vicinity died last Thursday March 21 at his home on R D 3. He has been partially incapacitated since he suffered a stroke in 1930 and a second stroke the Sunday preceding his death proved fatal. Members of the family said he had been greatly depressed by the recent sudden death of his physician Dr. F. H. Kennedy.

The deceased was born in Sweden April 12, 1868 and came to this country when he was sixteen years old. He was married to Ellen Carlson here on April 7, 1894. For many years he was employed by the Fall Brook mines at Antrim and later worked at the Corning Glass Works, finally being obliged to give this up because of failing health.

He is survived by his widow, two sons John E. of Wellsboro and C. Raynold of Rochester, three daughters Mrs. Harold Gee of Pine City N Y, Mrs. George Losinger of Binghamton N Y and Florence at home and nine grandchildren. Two brothers and two sisters in Sweden also survive.

Rev. Andrew B. Young of Antrim officiated at funeral services at Evans Funeral Home Saturday afternoon, burial will be at Antrim.
