William M. Greathouse reached his life's goal and received ultimate healing in the arms of Christ. He was a friend to all and made all persons sense their importance to him as individuals.

He served where God placed him as pastor (1938-1963), president of Trevecca Nazarene College (1963-1968) and later Nazarene Theological Seminary (1968-1976), and general superintendent (1976-1989) in the Church of the Nazarene.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth. He is survived by children, Becky (Ted) Martin, Mark (Jan) Greathouse, Beth (Michael) Sykes; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; his wife, Judy, and her children; brother, Charles Greathouse; and sister, Mary Cathryn Richerson.
