Davenport - Funeral services and a Mass of Christian Burial for Constance A. "Connie" Laschanzky, 80, of Davenport, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 7, 2012, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Davenport. Burial will be in the National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. Visitation will be Monday from 5 until 7:30 p.m. at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport, where a rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.

Mrs. Laschanzky died peacefully Friday, August 3, 2012, at the Davenport Lutheran Home.

Constance Ann Engel was born August 16, 1931, in Kewanee, Ill., to Leonard and Helen (Kohler) Engel. Connie graduated from Kewanee High School in 1949. She married Robert Laschanzky on August 13, 1955, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Kewanee. She retired in 1990 after 10 years as a sales associate at Von Maur, Davenport.

Connie was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was devoted to her family and friends and played an important role in their lives. She will be dearly missed. In addition to the time spent with her family and friends, Connie enjoyed traveling, reading and the gambling casinos.

Memorials may be made to St. Anthony's Catholic Church, where she was a member, Davenport Lutheran Home or to a favorite charity.

Survivors include her husband; daughters and sons-in-law, Lori (Mrs. Jeff) Stewart, Des Moines, Iowa; Lisa (Mrs. Charles) Drummond III, Plymouth, Mich.; Tracy (Mrs. Glenn) Suta, Littleton, Colo.; Lynne (Mrs. Joseph) Martelon, Kildeer, Ill.; Randi (Mrs. Steve) Bryant, Muscatine, Iowa; sons and daughters-in-law, Roark and Patti, Davenport; Breck and Monica, Camden, S.C.; and Dirk and Kayla, Indianola, Iowa; grandchildren, Collin and Thomas Stewart, Texas; Charlie, Hannah, Emma and Dylan Drummond, Michigan; Sara Laschanzky, Davenport; Jennifer Weist, Jason, Taylor and Colby Suta, Colorado; Kevin, John and Henry Martelon, Illinois; Katie Laschanzky and Brandon Bryant, Muscatine; Margeaux and Francesca Laschanzky, South Carolina; Hayden Laschanzky and Kylie and Michael Harmison, Indianola; sisters, Janet (Mrs. Larry) Freeman, Waverly, Iowa; Jane (Mrs. James) Egert, Warrenville, Ill.; brother, John and Bonnie Engel, Bettendorf; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Laschanzky was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Helen Marie, in 1956, her father in 1946 and her mother in 1964.
