NOTE; It should be noted that Alethea Helen Tanner was not a descendant of Daniel Boone, but her great aunt Chloe VanBibber married Jesse Bryan Boone, son of Daniel.

Mrs. Alethea Gammon
A most estimable woman, Mrs. Alethea Tanner Gammon, wife of the late George Wilson Gammon, passed away about one o´clock this morning at the old homestead near Fullerton, Greenup county, Ky. Death was due to paralysis, her condition having been serious for some time.

Mrs. Gammon was born in Greenup county, Ky., December 21, 1835. Her husband and a son, Frank, preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her passing away, six daughters and two sons, twenty-two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

The children are, Mrs. Hattie B. Gammon, of Columbus; Mrs. Lydia F. Simpson, Vernon, Ind.,; O.V. Gammon, Vero, Fla.; Charles S. Gammon, Alamosa, Col.; Mrs. Hester L. Smith, Mrs. Maude M. Tipton and Mrs. Stella Cox, of Portsmouth, and Miss Lettie Gammon at home.

Mrs. Gammon was well know in Greenup county, where she spent all her life. Funeral services will be held at Siloam, Ky., probably Monday.
