Nina Imogene Audas of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2012 at her home, age 92 years. Nina was born June 7, 1920 in Saginaw, Michigan the daughter of the late Joseph and Nina (Davidson) Vollmart. She married Sedric Luther Audas November 4, 1939. He predeceased her May 25, 1990. She served as Secretary of the Saginaw Women's Bowling Association for 40 years. She worked for the FBI, through the veterans, during World War II. She was a life member of Eastern Stars and Daughters of the Nile; Business and Professional Women's Association; life member of the American Cancer Society, in which she helped form their Reach to Recovery Program. Nina was a member of Ames United Methodist Church, the Merry Wives social group; Saginaw Red Hat Ya Ya's group; Town Talk; Saginaw Valley Concert Association and the Broadway Shows. She spent time volunteering for the Red Cross, March of Dimes, American Cancer Society and was on the Senior commission City Board. She was a voting member of the Saginaw County Sports Hall of Fame and was honored by the Saginaw County Board of commissioners for service to the growth and prosperity of the community. She served as President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer of Kappa Chapter of the National Phi Sigma Alpha Sorority. She enjoyed traveling and had the opportunity to visit many different countries and many states within the United States. Nina is survived by a daughter, Carmen Elizabeth Audas, a graduate of Redlands University in California; a son, Sedric L. (Nancy) Audas, II, a graduate of Michigan State University; two grandchildren, Paige Marie and Sedric L. Audas, III; her former daughter-in-law, Paula Audas; a sister, Deanna Pischel; a brother, Robert D. Kline; many nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends that helped and supported the family. In addition to her husband, Nina was predeceased by a daughter, Susan Kay Audas in 1957; two sisters, Evelyn Alcock, Ellen Ozust and a brother, John Kline. The funeral service will take place 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 11, 2012 at W. L. Case & Company, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family at the chapel on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service.
