Services for Maxine Woodard Kennedy, age 82, of Dublin will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, August 6, 2012, in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 9:00AM until the service time. Burial will follow in Northview Cemetery. Rev. David Currie and Rev. Kyle Giddens will officiate. Mrs. Kennedy died Saturday, August 4, 2012.

Mrs. Kennedy was the daughter of the late Samuel Franklin Woodard and the late Mamie Martin Woodard. She was a loving homemaker, member of Olivet Baptist Church for over 50 years and member of the Faith Sunday School Class. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kennedy was predeceased by five brothers, three sisters, and one half-brother.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Paul R. Kennedy, of Dublin; daughter, Paula Kennedy (Jim) Smith, of Hawkinsville; son, Tim (Kim) Kennedy, of Dublin; sister, Lucy Woodard McAfee, of Dublin; grandsons, Edwin Gleeson, William Gleeson, Joel Kennedy, and Jace Kennedy; and great grandson, Colton Gleeson.

Grandsons, Edwin Gleeson, William Gleeson, Joel Kennedy, Jace Kennedy, and Butch Freeman and Larry Askew will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Serenity Hospice; 520 Hillcrest Parkway; Dublin, GA 31021 or to Georgia Baptist Children's Home.
