Shari Lynn King, Ponca City resident, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2008 at the Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City. She was 49.

The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at 2PM at the Albright United Methodist Church with the Rev. Joe Robinson, minister of Albright United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at the Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements are made under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory.

Shari was born on Thursday, November 13, 1958 in Ponca City, OK to Frank L. King and Marie L. (Thele) King. On October 1, 1970 when the school opened at the Opportunity Center Shari was there to attend. She attended regularly for 34 years working in various classes including the contract class where she worked the most. Two years ago Shari was forced to retire from the Opportunity Center do to her illness. Shari attended Albright United Methodist Church Sunday School Class regularly. Her hobbies included working jigsaw puzzles, making beaded banners, and listening to music, but most of all she loved to be with her family.

She is survived by her mother Marie King of the home; two sisters: Linda Marie Arnold and her husband Edward of Ponca City and Kay Louise Cartwright and her husband Arvil Joe of Sallisaw, OK and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her father Frank L. King; grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. Ned H. King and Mr. and Mrs. Merton L. Thele.
