Marion Taylor Roberts, son of the late Louis Alexander and Mary Taylor Roberts, was born in Oregon County, Missouri, on January 25, 1889, and departed this life January 5, 1960, having reached the age of 70 years, 11 months and 10 days.
He is survived by his wife, Cora Thomas Roberts, two daughters, Mrs. Arch L. Cochran and Mrs. Wayne L. James, both of Springfield, Missouri; two sons, George of Willow Springs, Mo., and James of Fort Benning, Georgia; three sisters, Mrs. James Fuller and Mrs. Oglesby Johnson, both of Thayer, Mo., and Mrs. Hubert Douglas of Santa Ana, California; one brother, C.T. Roberts of Alton, Missouri, and 10 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Two children preceded him in death in infancy. He openly professed his faith in Christ on March 23, 1948, seeking membership in the First Methodist Church of Eminence, Missouri, and remained in faithful membership there until the date of his passing this life.
His attribute to humanity was the understanding of his fellow man.
