February 9, 2003 Nicoletta M. Lombard Cerio, 83, of Lakeland, died Sunday at Birchwood Health Care Center. Born in Solvay, she graduated from Solvay High School and Central City Business Institute. She was co-proprietor of Cerlo's Restaurant in Lakeland for 40years. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace Church and a member of its Altar and Rosary Society. She was a member of Lakeland Senior Citizens, was a volunteer at Community General Hospital for eight years and golfed at Westvale and Westhill country clubs. Her husband, J. Donald, died previously. Survivors: A daughter, Katherine "K.C." Bechard of Lakeland; two sons, James E. of Bel Air, Md., and John D. of Alfred; a sister, Frances Piro of Florida; three brothers, Vincent Lombard of Lakeland, Nicholas Lombard of Florida and Edmund Lombard of Baldwinsville; seven grandchildren. Services: 9 a.m. Wednesday at Tindall Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Peace Church. Burial, Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours, 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, 1921 W. Genesee St., Syracuse. Contributions: Our Lady of Peace Church, 203 Halcomb St., Syracuse 13209.
