Matthew Bauer-Kurtti, age 19, of Rock Lake, ND passed away on Friday, March 30, 2012 at Presentation Medical Center, Rolla, ND due to injuries suffered in an automobile acccident.
Matthew Dillon Bauer-Burtti was born on October 24, 1992 to Roger and Michelle (Bauer) Kurtti in Rolla, ND.
Matthew attended Mt. Pleasant and Rock Lake School, graduating in May of 2011 from Mount Pleasant High School. While in school, Matthew participated in football, basketball, golf and wrestling. He was a Sunday School teacher at the Presbyterian Church in Rolla.
Matthew enjoyed being outside and was currently working for Edward Construction. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends.
Matthew is survived by his parents, Roger and Michelle Kurtti of Rock Lake; brothers, Paul and Michael Burtti of Rock Lake; sister, Sara Kurtti of Rock Lake; grandparents, Merti Kurtti, and Jim and Clarann Church; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Matthew was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Paul Bauer and Bill Kurtti.
Casletbearers were Ryder Clousse, Levi Clouse, Shilo Henry, Brady Carlson, Nick Cahill, Tyler Edwards, Philip Mears, and Luke Wuori. Honorary bearers were all family and friends.

Funeral services were held on Monday, April 2, 2012 at the Rock Lake Gymnasium, Rock Lake, ND with Pastor Trudy Dumont officiating. Burial followed at Mount View Cemetery, Rock Lake, ND.
