Lonnie Cole died September 17, 1995, at Doctors Hospital in Dallas, Texas. He was 78.
He was born April 13, 1917, in DeSoto, Texas, to the late Clyde and Laura Jo Willis. He lived in Dallas for many years and had been a resident of Mesquite for the past three. A member of the Baptist faith, he retired from Dallas County District 3 after 29 years of service as a heavy equipment operator.He married Pauline Stovall on June 20, 1936; they had two children, Later divorced before 1960. He married Ethel Beaird on September 24, 1960.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel Beaird Cole of Mesquite; daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Tommy Odle of Mt. Vernon, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Bobby L. and Shirley Cole of Mesquite; five grandchildren, Terry Odle, Cindi Sumner, Dee Wells, Paula Smith, and Jennifer Cole; 10 grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Services were Tuesday, Sept. 19, at Roselawn Chapel in Seagoville. Brother. Vick Bass officiated. Burial was at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, in Seagoville.
