OBITUARY:

Charles Laurose Morrow, 49, son of William and Laura J. Morrow, was born in Hopewell Township, Mercer County, Ohio, April 28, 1883 and departed this life near his home in Blackcreek Township, October 26, 1932, having reached the age of 49 years, 5 months, and 28 days. On June 17, 1911, he married Maggie V. Rumple. To this happy union were born six children, three of whom survives, Esther Charlene, Wilma Bernice, and Thelma Louise at home. Kenneth Eugene, Charles Edwin and one infant son having preceded him in death. At an early age he was converted and united with the United Brethren Church at Fairview and always remained faithful to his Lord. A loving Father, a good neighbor, a kind friend, a forgiving spirit; he found much happiness in the fields and woodlands. In the sprouting seed or the ripening grain he was able to see and worship his Creator. So as the rain drops from heaven soothed his brow; with the grass as his pillow, he very suddenly fell asleep on nature's bosom to awaken where sorrow never comes. He leaves to mourn their loss a devoted wife, and three daughters, Esther, Wilma, and Louise, a sorrowing mother, two brothers, Anson and Clarence, three sisters, Mrs. Leota Wolfe, Mrs. Cora Clutter and Mrs. Fannie Worthman. The funeral was held at the Fairview Church, Pleasant Grove Circuit, conducted by the pastor, Rev. W. C. Davies, assisted by Rev. G. M. Sill and Rev. Ora Johnson, with burial at the Riverside Cemetery, Rockford, Ohio.
