His death was due to injuries received in an automobile accident January 3, 1973 at Highway 710 and the Bridge By-Pass Road. Mr. Allen had remained in the hospital since that time.
He was born July 13, 1894 the son of Jasper Allen and Hattie Allen.
His wife Mrs. Nellie Allen died January 3, 1973 of injuries received in the same accident.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Henry (Emma Ruth) Allen, Ft. Pierce, Florida.
Funeral services were held from Holy Trinity Episcopal Church with the Rev. John F. Eberman officiating. Interment was in Buck Grove Church Cemetery directed by Hager-Wright Funeral Home. Pallbearers were: Tom Allen, Jeffery Allen, Bob Allen, Hillary Allen, T.J. Yates and Charles Pellman.
