KAYSVILLE-- Nelda Wright Staples, age 84, passed away January 8, 2001 at Rocky Mtn. Care Center.
She was born June 9, 1916 in Hinckley, Utah to George Daniel and LaVern Bennett Wright. Nelda married Ray W. Staples August 15, 1936 in Holden, Utah.
They were sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple on March 28, 1964. He passed away February 15, 1980. Nelda lived in Salt Lake City, Hoyt Lakes, MN; Idaho Falls, ID; and Kaysville throughout her life. She was a member of the LDS Church. She served as Relief Society Visiting Teacher Coordinator, and Primary Teacher for 23 years.
Surviving are one son, Ted Staples, Lapine, OR; one daughter, Linda (Douglas M.) Cox, Orem; nine grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, one son, parents, two brothers, Merlin Bennett Wright, and Monte Edward Wright.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 12, 2001 at 2 p.m. at the Kaysville 9th Ward, 201 S. 600 E. Friends and family may call Thurs. from 6-8 p.m. at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 No. Main and from 12:45-1:45 p.m. at the church. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
