Donald Edmund Goblowsky
Donald Edmund Goblowsky a native and lifelong resident of Hammond died Friday February 11, 2011 at his residence. He was 59. He was a graduate of Hammond High School, and Southeastern Louisiana University. He owned and operated Don Goblowsky Oil and Gas Land Services. A memorial Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday February 14, 2011 at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Hammond. Interment will be held at a later date in Greenlawn Cemetery in Hammond. Arrangements under the direction of Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St. Baton Rouge.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Dana Louise Miazga Goblowsky of Hammond; his daughter Taylor Leigh Goblowsky of Dallas, TX; his mother, Dora Keen Goblowsky of Baton Rouge; sister, Pam Goblowsky Hyde and husband C.J. "Billy" Hyde, III, of Baton Rouge; a niece, Allison Hyde; a nephew, Josh Hyde; a niece, Colleen Miazga; a nephew, Michael Miazga; a niece, Marlo Strope; a niece, Tricia Strope; an uncle, numerous aunts and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edmund Joseph Goblowsky; his paternal and maternal grandparents.
In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Louisiana Special Olympics or charity of the donors choice.
