ELIZABETHTOWN - Sophia Coleman, 80, formerly of Hyde Park, died Tuesday, April 6, 1999 at home in Elizabethtown, N.Y. She was born Aug, 13, 1918 in Kinderhook, N.Y., the daughter of Austin and Sophia (Meyers) Gaylord. She retired from Northern Dutchess Hospital, Rhinebeck, N.Y., in 1987. She is survived by a daughter & son-in-law, Joan and Vincent Cashdollar, Elizabethtown, N.Y.; two sons and daughters-in-law: Edward and Gloria Peabody, Westport, N.Y.; and William and Karla Peabody; Fayetteville, N.C.; four grandchildren: Vincent Cashdollar, Hyde Park; Ann Gilmartin, New York City; Robin Peabody, North Carolina; and Lt. JG Scott Peabody (USCG); two sisters: Christina Burgess, New Mexico; and Edna Groesbeck, Watervleit; several nieces and nephews. There are no calling hours. Donations to her memory 5/be made to the Elizabethtown Lewis Rescue Squad, Elizabethtown, N.Y. Arrangements by W.M. Marvins Sons Inc., Elizabethtown, N.Y.
