OPELOUSAS, Feb. 4 — One person was killed and another injured in an accident Friday night two miles east of Elton on U.S. Hwy. 190.

Mrs. J. L. Mitchell, 63, the former Ella Lucille Fouts of Opelousas, died. Her son, Herman Mitchell of Orange, Tex., suffered a shoulder injury.

Mrs. Mitchell's body is at Lafond and Son Funeral Home here. Services will be held there at 4 p.m. Sunday by Rev. R. E. Walton, Methodist minister. Burial will be in Myrtle Grove Cemetery.

She is survived by three sons, Herman of Orange, Robert of Cisco, Tex., and Clifford Wagley of Ville Platte; and one daughter, Mrs. Thad Gray of Beaumont, Tex.
