Chester- The graveside service for Mr. James C. " Jake " grant, 81, of Route 3 Box 312, who died Monday, Oct. 17, 1994, at Chester County Hospital, will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Chester Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Dr. George Fitzgerald officiating.
Born in Chester, Mr. Grant was retired from Hoechst Celanese. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and served in the Rodman unit of the Civilian Conservation Corps. He was a member of Purity Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are his wife, Annie Matthews Grant; his daughter, Susan Grant of Catawba; and his sister, Cornelia Carlton of Chester.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Barron Funeral Home.
