Ada E. Farrington, 94, died Saturday at 3:30 p.m. in Miller's Merry Manor nursing home. Mrs. Farrington previously lived in Auburn.
She was born June 16, 1894 in Richland Township. On May 10, 1919 she married Earl J. Farrington in Richland Township. He preceded her in death Jan. 21, 1970.
Surviving are one daughter, Lois Albright of Corunna; two sons, Charles E. Farrington, of Auburn, and Thomas E. Farrington, of Granite City, Ill.; two sisters, Elsie Dawson, of Auburn, and Viola Dosch, of Fort Wayne; 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Joan Beadell, five brothers and five sisters.
Mrs. Farrington, a graduate of Tri-State College, was a former school teacher. She was a member of Maple Grove United Methodist Church, the DeKalb County Chorus, and the Richland Township Home Demonstration Club. A former president of the DeKalb County Home Demonstration Club, she was the Republican precinct committeeman for Richland Township.
Services were held Tuesday in Feller Funeral Home, Waterloo with the Rev. Dewey Findley officiating. Burial was in the Corunna Cemetery.
Preferred memorials are to the Maple Grove United Methodist Church or to the Earl and Ada Memorial Park of Corunna.
