Michael L. Southerland, Sr., 61, of Montpelier, IN, passed away at St. Josephs Regional Hospital, Mishawaka, IN, on August 1st at 5:30 p.m.
He was born on Friday, July 27, 1951 in Marion, IN, the son of Robert and Janet (Heath) Southerland. Michael attended the Blackford High School. He married Miriam (Wheeler) Southerland on Thursday, October 26, 1972 in Marion, IN.
Michael enjoyed riding motorcycles and working on old cars and trucks. He enjoyed driving semi and had worked as a truck driver for many years for OJC Trucking in Hartford City, IN. He enjoyed his family and his family was his life. He will be forever loved and missed by them.
Survivors include his mother, Janet (Heath) Southerland, Montpelier, IN; wife, Miriam K. Southerland, Montpelier, IN; son; daughter; eight grandchildren;
