One of the saddest death the Grit has been called to chronicle was that of Mrs. Mary Eleanor Breiteutz, which occurred at an early hour Sunday morning, at the family home southwest of Hamilton, from confusions, leaving a new born baby daughter to the tender mercies of the world without a mother's care and love.
Mary Eleanor Freeman was born near Hamilton. Kamsas, Dec. 20, 1890. Here she grew up, received her education, taught school, mingled with the young life of the community, and made friends of all who became in contact with her.
She was a member of the M. E. Church from the age of fifteen. She mwas married Jan. 19, 1916, to Roscoe Breitkreutz, and beside the heartbroken husband, leaves the little babe, father, and mother, six brothers and five sisters, and a host of other relatives and friends who are grieved beyond measure at the untimley summons that called her from their midst, leaving a vacant a place in their hearts that cannot be filled.
The funeral took place from the family redisence Monday afternoon with Rev. C. L. Fesler officiating. Many from town met the funeral cortage at the Hamilton cemetery, where the remains were genlty placed to rest.
