Our beloved, Barbara "Veta" Gloria, 79, passed away at her Saguaro home on Sunday, March 25, 2012.
She is survived by brother, Ralph "Wappy" (Barbara) Gloria of Yuma, as well as sixteen nieces and nephews, twenty eight great and seven great-great nieces and nephews and one great-great-great nephew.
She was preceded in death by her father, Daniel S. Gloria; mother, Margaret Coz Gloria; brothers, Jesus, Daniel, and Gaspar "Cussie" Gloria.
Until the age of 52, she lived with her father and mother, lovingly helping to care for, and play with, her brothers and then later with her many nieces and nephews. She dearly loved babies.
At the age of 52, she was cared for by the Saguaro Foundation and she came to live in her last residence approximately fifteen years ago. While in their care, she discovered the joys of ribbons, jewelry, nail polish, and a love for bowling, dancing and travel!
Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 3, 2012 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Johnson Mortuary with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M. A Funeral Mass will take place at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. Interment to follow at Yuma Pioneer Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Gloria, Julian Higuera, Jr., Ryan Raike, Kyle Rosas, and Raymond Montalvo, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ralph "Wappy" Gloria, Jocelyn Higuera, Renee Haworth, Ruth Gloria, Cora Behl, and Steve Rudick.
We will miss her very much.
