GRAVES
Mrs. Nancy Graves, widow of W. Y. Graves, died December 25 at her apartment at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Z. T. Smith, in this city. She went to visit the family of her son, Mr. John B. Graves, at Arthur, Ill., in the fall and while there suffered a slight stroke of paralysis. She recovered sufficiently from this to return home about three weeks ago, but complications developed to her trouble and she became steadily worse. Mrs. Graves was a woman of many splendid qualities that endeared her to everyone who knew her. Early in life she united with the Baptist church and was devoted in her faith. She was married November 11, 1875, to W. Y. Graves, who died about eight years ago. She leaves three sons, John B. Graves, Arthur, Ill.; Sam Graves, Ocala, Florida, and Edward Graves, of Rose Hill. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. The funeral was held at the Baptist church on Monday afternoon conducted by her pastor, the Rev. G. Whitcomb Ellers and burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
