She passed away peacefully. She was born in Baton Rouge, and was a resident of Springfield.

Hazel is survived by three brothers and sisters-in-law, James Lester LaCoste and Barbara LaCoste and Kelley Lewis LaCoste and companion Donna Williams, all of Zachary, and Harold Erwin LaCoste and wife Gina LaCoste of Scottsmoor, Fla.; longtime companion, W.M. "Bill" Brockman of Springfield; and nephews, nieces and their families, Trey LaCoste of Centreville, Miss., Beau LaCoste of Shreveport, Katherine Jones of Grayson, Karen Carter and Kim LaCoste, both of Zachary, Kelley Chay LaCoste of Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada, and Eugene LaCoste of Scottsmoor, Fla.

Hazel was loved by everyone who knew her. Her family and friends will miss her loving and caring ways, always giving so much of herself and sharing her love with all.

Special thanks and gratitude are extended to all of Hazel's friends, family and extended family for all the love, support and assistance in caring for Hazel in her final days.

Preceded in death by her parents, "Charlie" Alvin LaCoste Sr. and "Stella" Pogue LaCoste; and a brother, Charles Alvin LaCoste Jr.
