She was born in Fairmont on June 13, 1923, daughter of the late Charles and Anna Fuscic Hlusko.
Anna worked for Eastern Gas & Fuel as a clerk and teletype operator. She and her husband also owned and operated Vincent's Greenhouse in Grant Town for 35 years. She was a former member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Grant Town and was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church.
She was a graduate of Fairview High School, attended Fairmont Business College, and was the acting postmaster during World War II. She also played basketball for Independent League in the early 1940s. She was an avid bowler and gardener.
She was the last survivor of the immediate Hlusko family.
She is survived by five nephews, Dr. Paul Hlusko of Radford, Va., Charles Hlusko of Fairmont, John James Hlusko of Fairview, Jimmy Hlusko of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Johnny Hlusko of Fredericksburg, Va. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Stella Belotsky of Grant Town and Julie Belotsky of California. She is also survived by several great nieces and nephews and cousins, and close friend Julia Martin of Grant Town.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Vincent Paul Belotsky; one son, Vincent Paul Belotsky Jr.; and four brothers, Steve, George, John and Michael Hlusko.
Friends may call at Ross Funeral Home, 801 Fairmont Ave., Fairmont, on Friday from 2-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church with Fr. Robert A. Perriello as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
A vigil service will be held Friday evening at 6 p.m. in the funeral home with Deacon David Lester officiating. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.rossfh.com.
