Elizabeth was laid to rest in the Woodland Cemetery vault on July 24, 1920 and removed for burial in the cemetery on October 21, 1921.--(added from burial record by js on 6-06-2022).

Second wife of Talcott E. Wing

Elizabeth Thurber Wing died at her residence in Detroit, Mi. She was the widow of the late Judge Talcott E. Wing, of Monroe. She moved to Detroit, Mi. after the death of her husband many years earlier. When Elizabeth and Talcott lived in Monroe, Mi., their home was at the corner of Elm Avenue and Macomb St, currently occupied by the Theodore Illgenfritz family. It was known for many years as the Wing homestead. She was survived by a son, Jefferson T. Wing of Detroit; two sisters, Mrs. W. H. Dunlap, and Miss Julia Thurber, and a brother, Jefferson Thurber, all of Detroit. She leaves two step-sons, Charles H. Wing, of Monroe; and Austin E. Wing, of Detroit, and a step-daughter, Mrs. James Little, of Monroe. Private services were held in Detroit, and her remains were brought to Monroe, Mi., for burial in Woodland Cemetery in the Thurber family lot. (by Lo Marie)
