Watertown, Dec, 1.—The funeral to
day of John Linehan, one of the two
men shot to death in the Taylor
stables, was one of the largest seen,
in this city in many months.
Members of the Knights of Columbus, the A. 0. H. and the Elks attended in a body. The various organization
assembled in their rooms about 8
o'clock and marched to the Linehan
home and accompanied the remains
to St. Patrick's churchy where services
were held at 10 o'clock. Interment
was made at Glen wood cemetery. A
brother and sister of Linehan, the latter
a nun, reached here yesterday
from New York.
Today witnessed nothing new, to
the way of a solution of the tragedy
which cost two men their lives, The
police say that the affair is now closed and. that, no move will be made, to further investigate, It is said, that
Mrs. Emma Flower Taylor has expressed a wish that the whole matter be regarded as a closed book, and her wishes will be abided by.
