Eleanor V. Campbell, 93, of Lincoln, went home on Monday, July 30, 2012. She was born on March 14, 1919 to Conrad and Edith Trupp in McCook, NE. and was one of 4 children. Eleanor married J.R. (Dick) Campbell in 1940 in McCook, NE. at her parents' home and Dean Campbell officiated. She was a homemaker and enjoyed flower gardening, sewing and volunteering. She also enjoyed playing bridge and was a member of several bridge clubs. Eleanor was a member of Second Baptist Church for 50+ years. She remained living in her home for over 55 years until she moved into The Waterford in December of 2011. Eleanor was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the American Legion Post #3. With her husband Dick, they enjoyed many vacations both local and abroad, including Switzerland, Germany, St. Thomas Islands and Canada. Eleanor is survived by her sons, Tom (Doreen) Campbell and Dave (Bonnie Lou) Campbell. Daughters, Pat (Harold) Hanson and Barb (Steve) Kirk. 10, Grandchildren and 19, Great-grandchildren. Nieces and nephew. Preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Dick, Parents, son-in-laws Harold Hanson and Steve Kirk. 3 brothers, Harry, Ray and Sam Trupp.
