Aleen Cox Alderman, 86, of Chilhowie, Va., formerlyD of Galax, Va., passed away Saturday, August 27, 2005 in Chilhowie, Va.
She was the daughter of the late Dr. Carl and Ruth Cox of Galax, Va. She graduated from Radford College and taught school several years. She attended the First United Methodist Church in Galax and Meadowview.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Alderman; a brother, Ben Cox and his wife, Virginia Jones Cox.
Survivors include three nieces, Valerie Carter and husband, H.C. Carter, Jr., of Chilhowie, Va., Lib Mutter and husband, Dennis of Prince George, Va., Deanna Rose (DEDE) Cox of Meadowview, Va.; one nephew, Carlisle Cox and wife, Sherri of Desert Hills, Arizona.
A memorial graveside service will be conducted Friday, September 9, 2005 at 11 a.m. in the Felts Cemetery, Galax, Va.
